Krazy Kat – Keeping Up With Krazy

www.cutekitty.website First appearance: Oct. 28, 1913 “Krazy Kat” is more than 100 years old, but remains one of the most celebrated comics of all time. The titular character is most known for his or her (creator George Herriman used either pronoun, and maintained that Krazy is genderless) infatuation with Ignatz Mouse, who rewarded the affection by throwing bricks at Krazy’s head. With the surreal desert landscapes in which the character lived, and his/her unique pidgin dialect, Krazy Kat remains a singular cartoon cat even today. In 1999, The Comics Journal described the comic as “the greatest example of the artform in the history of the medium.” www.cutekitty.website
